This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs, but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors.

Introduction

Situated on the North coast of Cornwall, Hentervene Holiday Park is ideal for a short break or holiday.

Located 3km from the beach, we cater touring caravans and have caravan holiday homes and lodges for hire. The site is located on predominantly flat ground.

Pre-Arrival

For full details and maps of how to reach us please see the location section of our website. Alternatively, you can plan your journey by car or public transport using www.transportdirect.info; simply enter your postcode and ours, which is EX23 0LF to get directions.

The nearest railway station is Bodmin Parkway, 25 miles away. It is possibly more convenient to go to Exeter St Davids and then take a bus or taxi to complete your journey, depends when you intend to travel.

There is a bus stop directly outside our gate which gives access to most of Devon and Cornwall. Please see first group for routes and times.

Car Parking and Arrival

The Park Reception is towards the entrance to the park on the left hand side. Parking is available directly in front as you arrive.

We do not have external lighting here, only low level solar lighting as a guide, so we recommend you bring a torch, it can get very dark.

There is parking available outside the toilet block should it be required.

Reception

There is a step into the reception entrance.

The doors are 1m wide, and we can assist you into the office.

We will at all times endeavour to show you directly to your accommodation.

Caravan Holiday Homes & Lodges

We have 1 lodge (self-catering)

The flooring is timber throughout and lino in the bathroom.

We have 3 caravan holiday homes for hire (self-catering). All our caravans have steps up to them, and are therefore not suitable for wheelchair access.

Launderette

There is parking available by the entrance to the launderette.

There is a single 3” step to the launderette and it is level throughout.

The door opening is 900mm/35.5ins wide, easy to open.

There is one front loading washing machine, and a dryer.

Iron and on/off switch is accessible from seated or standing position and ironing board is adjustable.

Hand wash sinks are 850mm/33.5ins high.

The flooring is non-slip laminate.

The area is well lit with fluorescent tube overhead lighting.

Grounds and Garden

The park is relatively small 10.5 acres but with open wildlife areas and a play area.

Hedgerows divide the park into small discrete areas.

There are no direct footpaths from the park, although we do have a woodland walk. There is a path across the fields down to the beach which starts from the local village hall, about 0.5m away. There is parking outside there.

There is a children’s play area

The surface of the play area is grass.

There is a bench in the play area.

Additional Information

Free Wi-fi Internet access is available across the park. Details of how to access that are in the booklets located in your accommodation.

The nearest General Hospital with a minor injuries unit and walk in NHS is 10 miles away in Stratton, and the nearest Doctor’s surgery is 5 miles away in Boscastle. Please contact reception for further information.
